Meenakshi (Sonali) Ghosh
Meenakshi (Sonali) Ghosh was an at-large representative on the Franklin School Board in Wisconsin. She was first elected to the board in the general election on April 5, 2016, and she served until her resignation in January 2017.[1][2][3]

Three of the seven seats on the Franklin Public School District school board were up for at-large general election on April 5, 2016.[4] Incumbents Alan Aleksandrowicz and Debbie Larson and challenger Meenakshi (Sonali) Ghosh ran unopposed and won the election.[1]
The third seat up for election was held by incumbent Melissa Klein. She filed noncandidacy paperwork, indicating she would not run for re-election. Her absence in the election guaranteed Ghosh won a seat on the board.[1]

Funding
Ghosh filed an exemption statement detailing that she would not spend or receive more than $2,000 toward her campaign. Because of this, she did not have to file additional campaign finance reports for this election.[5][6]
