Monica Ackley

Monica Ackley is a judge of the First District of Iowa (District 1A). She was appointed to this position in 2003, and her current term expires in 2018.[1]
Education
Ackley received both her bachelor's and law degrees from the University of San Diego in 1986 and 1990, respectively.[1]
Career
Ackley began her legal career as a law clerk and research assistant. She then worked as a private practice lawyer until 1997, when she was appointed magistrate for Dubuque County. 2012 election
Ackley was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 76.01% of the vote.[2][3]
