Montana CI-7 was on the ballot as an initiated constitutional amendment in Montana on November 2, 1976. It was defeated.

A "yes" vote supported limiting appropriations to the sum of $375 million for any two-year period until July 1, 1983, and the legislature shall provide for a 15% annual phase-out of all aid from the US, such that no federal revenue-sharing programs or grants in aid will be accepted after July 1, 1984.

A "no" vote opposed limiting appropriations to the sum of $375 million for any two-year period until July 1, 1983, and the legislature shall provide for a 15% annual phase-out of all aid from the US, such that no federal revenue-sharing programs or grants in aid will be accepted after July 1, 1984.
