Montana I-73 was on the ballot as an initiated state statute in Montana on November 2, 1976. It was approved.

A "yes" vote supported an act providing for the recall of any elected or appointed person holding public office if a petition is submitted with a given percentage of the voters from the last general election, after which a recall election will be held for the officer involved

A "no" vote opposed an act providing for the recall of any elected or appointed person holding public office if a petition is submitted with a given percentage of the voters from the last general election, after which a recall election will be held for the officer involved
