The Nevada Hotel Tax for Education Funding Initiative was not on the ballot in Nevada as an initiated state statute on November 4, 2008.
The ballot initiative would have increased the hotel tax to provide revenue for public education.[1]
Path to the ballot
This measure was filed on July 31, 2008, with the secretary of state. Supporters needed to collect at least 58,628 signatures by Nov. 11, 2008, in order to send the indirect initiative to the 2009 legislative session.[1]
