New Year brings gubernatorial inaugurations

By Eileen McGuire-Mahony Today, the first business day of 2011, is Inaugural Day for six of America's Governors. Only one will return to office while five states will see a transition of power. Two states, Alaska and Hawaii, held Inaugurations on December 6, 2010. Additionally, New Mexico, Michigan and New York inaugurated governors on January 1, 2011. Ceremony begins at 11:00 PST
Reception, by invitation only, will be held at the Railroad Museum
Ceremony begins at noon, CST, at the Saint Paul’s Landmark Center
Open House at the State Capitol from 14:00 to 16:30 CST
Saturday, January 8, 2011, Peoples Inaugural Ball at Minneapolis Convention Center, tickets available at www.daytoninauguration.com

Regional Inaugural Balls will be held on January 28, 2011 in Las Vegas and on January 29, 2011 in Reno
