The New York Environmental Quality Bond Act of 1986 was on the 1986 ballot in New York as a legislatively referred bond question. It was approved. The measure authorized "the creation of a State debt of $1,450,000,000 for preservation, enhancement, restoration and improvement of the quality of the State’s environment."[1]
