New administration in Atlantic Beach means new staff all around
July 31, 2011
ATLANTIC BEACH, South Carolina: After a ruling from the South Carolina Supreme Court earlier this month overturning election results and reinstating them in office, two new town council members fired nearly all of the town staff. They let go three police officers, two municipal judges and four other town employees shortly after taking their seats.[1]
According to fired police officer Eric Lewis they were let go because "[t]he City of Atlantic Beach was going in another direction."[2]
