|
|
The North Dakota Acquiring School Lands Referendum, also known as Amendment to Section 158, was on the November 5, 1912 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure created an application system through the Board of University and School Lands for acquiring school or institutional lands belonging to the state. IT also established further requirements for the appraisal and pricing of such lands. The measure passed by the voters was not self-executing and required legislative action to take effect. The North Dakota Legislature did so on February 27, 1915.[1][2]
