North Dakota Political Subdivisions Article Referendum, Measure 1 (1982)

The North Dakota Political Subdivisions Article Referendum, also known as Measure 1, was on the June 8, 1982 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1] The measure created Section 10 of Article VII of the North Dakota Constitution, which allowed political subdivisions to, in mutual agreement with the county in which it is located, transfer its powers or functions to the county. It also allowed for the transfer to be revoked in a similar manner.[2]
