North Dakota State Debt and Bonds, Referendum 1 (1965)

The North Dakota State Debt and Bonds Referendum, also known as Referendum 1, was on the September 21, 1965 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have provided for self-liquidating bonds when authorized by law. It also would have repealed and replaced contemporary limits on state indebtedness.[1][2]
