The North Lakeland School District Referendum was a school bond measure on the April 7 ballot in the North Lakeland School District which is in Vilas County. The referendum was brought to the ballot by the school board, and it sought to exceed state-set revenue limits by $943,000 per year. The additional funds will be used to maintain current levels of operations.

"On a district property valued at $265,000... levy costs under a recurring referendum plan would rise from the $312 currently being assessed to $440 in 2009-10, before dropping to $363 in 2010-11, $344 in 2011-12, $346 in 2012-13, $340 in 2013-14, $337 in 2014-15 and $332 in 2015-16."[2]
Wording of referendum
Be it resolved by the School Board of the North Lakeland School District, Vilas County, Wisconsin that the revenues included in the School District budget be authorized to exceed the revenue limit speciified in Section 121.91, by Wisconsin Statutes for the 2009-2010 school year and thereafter by $515,000 and for the 2010-2011 school year and thereafter by an additional $428,000 (for a total of $943,000 per year), for recurring purposes.[1]
