An Oakland Park City Mayoral Vacancy Amendment measure was overwhelmingly approved on the March 12, 2013 election ballot in Broward County, which is in Florida.
This measure amended the Oakland Park City Charter eliminate the temporary vacancies of the vice mayor by making the third runner up in the last election automatically vice mayor when there is a vacancy.[1]

| “ | Shall Section 2.11 of the City Charter of the City of Oakland Park be amended to eliminate temporary vacancies in the position of Vice Mayor, and provide that in the event of a vacancy, the mayoral rotation be advanced, and the commission member receiving the third highest number of votes in the previous general election be inserted into the end of the rotation to become Vice Mayor?[1][2] | ” |
