The Ohio Apportionment of the General Assembly Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 5, 1889 ballot in Ohio as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have provided for the apportionment of the general assembly into single districts every ten years.[1]
