The Ohio District Court Organization Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the October 14, 1879 ballot in Ohio as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have modified the organization of the state's district courts by dividing the state into nine districts.[1]
