Paul D. Mathews was a judge of the Maine District Courts. He was appointed by Gov. Paul LePage (R) on October 5, 2015, and his appointment was confirmed by the Maine State Legislature Judiciary Committee in December 2015.[1][2] He retired from the court in 2020.
Mathews was a family court magistrate from 1998 to 2015.[3]

Mathews earned his undergraduate degree from St. Anselm College and J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law.[1]
Career
Mathews served as a deputy district attorney from 1979 to 1981 and assistant district attorney from 1981 to 1983. He was also an attorney in private practice before becoming a judge.[1]
