Pierce County Charter Amendment (November 2012)
A Pierce County Charter Amendment measure was on the November 6, 2012 ballot in Pierce County.
This measure seeks to amend the charter so that a super majority of council members would have to approve any new county taxes. Though one council member noted that no new taxes had been proposed in the seven years he had been in office, maybe members saw this as a way to keep residents informed of potential new taxes.[1][2]
