The Prairie Du Chien Area School District Referendum was a school bond measure on the June 23 ballot in the Prairie Du Chien Area School District which is in Crawford County. The referendum was brought to the ballot by the school board, and it sought to issue debt in the amount of $7,000,000. The funds would have been used to build and equip an addition to the high school gym that would have served as a community center.
Status
The referendum was defeated.[1]
Wording of referendum
Be it resolved by the School Board of the Prairie du Chien Area School District, Crawford County, Wisconsin that there shall be issued pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $7,000,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of constructing and equipping an addition to the high school to provide a community activity center and improving school buildings[1]
