Ralph E. Eriksson

Ralph E. Eriksson was a judge of Florida's Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court. He did not run for another term when his expired at the end of 2010.[1]

Legal education and experience

Judge Eriksson received his B.S.B.A. from the University of Florida in 1969 and his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law in 1972.

From 1974 to 1994, Eriksson served as an assistant state attorney; he was elected to his current seat in 1995.[2]

Cases involved with misconduct investigation

In 2007, and again in 2010, the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission found probable cause to investigate Judge Eriksson's courtroom professionalism.[3][4][5] The Florida Supreme Court has determined that he is to be publicly reprimanded for misconduct.[6]

And again:

"These acts, if they occurred as alleged, violated the Code of Judicial Conduct as follows: Canon 1 (impairing the confidence of the citizens of the state in the integrity of the judicial system and in you as a judge); Canon 2A (respect and compliance with the law); 3B (4) (patience, dignity and courtesy in dealing with litigants and lawyers in an official capacity); 3B (7) (according to all parties the right to be heard).
