Arkansas: Last week, Judge Rhonda Wood announced that she will run for an open seat on the Arkansas Court of Appeals in the 2012 election. The seat is currently held by Cliff Hoofman, who is not permitted to run for election to the seat following appointment.[1]

This is Wood's second run for the court. In the 2010 election she was narrowly defeated by incumbent Judge Jo Hart.

Judge Wood has served on the Arkansas 20th Judicial Circuit since January 2007, following an appointment by former Governor Mike Huckabee.[2]
