Richard King represents an at-large seat on the Lompoc Unified School District school board in California. King won the seat in the at-large general election on November 8, 2016.[1]

King previously ran for a seat on the board. He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014.[2]

Three of the five seats on the Lompoc Unified School District Board of Education were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Incumbent Henry Gallina filed for re-election and faced challengers Richard King, Richard "Dick" Barrett, and Jeff Carlovsky.[3] All three challengers won election to the board.[4]

Two at-large seats on the Lompoc Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Only one incumbent, Steve Straight, filed to run for re-election. He ran against challengers Richard T. King and William "Bill" Heath. Straight won his bid for re-election, and Heath defeated King to win the second seat.
