A Riverdale School District referendum was on the April 7 ballot in Riverdale, which is in Crawford, Grant, Iowa and Richland counties.
Status
Defeated, with 559 "yes" votes and 883 "no" votes.[1]
Text of measure
- BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the Riverdale School District, Grant, Iowa, Crawford and Richland Counties, Wisconsin, that in order to provide for the maintenance of instructional services, co-curricular opportunities and investment in School District technology, the School District budget for each of the 2009-10 through 2011-12 school years and thereafter shall include the following amounts in excess of the revenue limits imposed by Section 121.91(2m), Wisconsin Statutes: for the 2009-10 school year an amount of $475,000 for recurring purposes; for the 2010-11 school year an additional amount of $80,000 for recurring purposes; and for the 2011-12 school year an additional amount of $55,000 for recurring purposes (for a total of $610,000 for the 2011-12 school year and thereafter).[2]
