Robert E. Nugent was a judge for the United States bankruptcy court, District of Kansas. He was appointed on June 14, 2000.[1][2][3][4] Nugent retired in 2020.[5]

Education

Nugent earned a bachelor's degree and a J.D. from the University of Kansas.[6]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Nugent worked as a member of the partnership at Morris, Laing, Evans, Brock & Kennedy, a law firm in Wichita, Kansas, where his practice was focused on bankruptcy, commercial, and real estate law. On March 5, 2007, during his tenure on the court, Nugent was appointed to a five-year renewable term on the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Tenth Circuit.[7][8]
