Robert L. Childers
Robert L. Childers was a circuit court judge for Division 9 of the Thirtieth Circuit Court in Tennessee. He was first elected in 1984 and re-elected in 1990, 1998, 2006, and 2014. Childers retired from the bench at the end of June 2017.[1][2][3][4][5]
Biography
Childers earned his B.B.A. and his J.D. from Memphis State University. Prior to his election to the bench in 1984, Childers worked as an attorney in private practice. He has also served as a special judge of the Tennessee Supreme Court Workers' Compensation Panel and the president of the Tennessee Judicial Conference and the Tennessee Trial Judges' Association.[1]
