Robert Lynn Tamietti was a judge for the Superior Court of Nevada County in California. He was appointed by former governor Gray Davis in November 2003 to succeed M. Kathleen Butz. Tamietti .[1][2] Tamietti resigned from the court on October 31, 2020, after the Commission of Judicial Performance, an independent state agency, released an admonishment regarding two earlier cases Tamietti presided over. [3]
Education
Tamietti received a bachelor's degree and a J.D. from the University of Utah.[2]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge for the Nevada County Superior Court, Tamietti worked as an attorney.[2]
2012 election
Tamietti ran for re-election to the superior court in 2012. As an unopposed incumbent, his name did not appear on the ballot. After the primary election, Tamietti was automatically re-elected.[4]
