Ronald H. Sargis is the chief judge of the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of California. He was appointed to the court on January 14, 2010, and his current term will expire on January 14, 2038.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Sargis received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1979 and his J.D. from McGeorge Law School at the University of the Pacific in 1982.[2]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Sargis was a partner with the firm Hefner, Stark & Marois, where he worked for 26 years. He began his legal career as a law clerk for Judge Loren Dahl.[2]
