Rose and Sulak compete for 353rd District Court judgeship

Travis County, Texas: Judge Jeff L. Rose is running for election to the 353rd District Court against Tim Sulak in November of 2010.

Judge Rose, a Republican, was appointed to this court in September of 2009 by Gov. Perry to replace the late Judge Scott Ozmun, who died soon after appointment to office. Rose must now run for retention election to this position. Before becoming a judge, he worked in the Texas Attorney General's Office and as a private practice lawyer.

Tim Sulak, a Democrat, has worked as a private practice lawyer in Austin, TX for over 30 years. He was most recently a partner of the firm Morris, Craven and Sulak, LLP. He has also served under the former Travis County District Attorney, is co-chair of the Commission for Lawyer Discipline and a former member of the City of Austin's Ethics Review Commission.[1]
