Sen. Lindsey Graham announces bid for presidency

Senator Lindsey Graham (R) announced his bid for the presidency this morning in his hometown of Central, South Carolina. In his announcement speech, he focused on his experience with foreign policy and national security. He also spoke of the threat of radical Islam and a "peace through strength" approach to national defense.[1]
Graham is currently serving his third term in the U.S. Senate. He was first elected in 2002 and most recently won re-election in 2014. Prior to his tenure in the Senate, he served in the U.S. House, representing South Carolina's 3rd Congressional District from 1995 to 2003. He also served one term in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1992 to 1994.[2]
