Sen. Nichols seeks judgeship
June 3, 2010
Norman, Oklahoma: State Senator Jonathan Nichols is running for election to the Oklahoma 21st District Court, which covers the counties of Cleveland, McClain and Garvin. He has represented these counties as a Senator since 2000. In defense of his candidacy, Nichols claims, "I am a conservative Oklahoman who understands the people’s conservative views and have a track record to prove it."
During his years as Senator, Nichols has worked on legislation allowing the use of DNA evidence to solve violent crimes. He also authored multiple laws to crack down on child and domestic abuse. Before becoming a Senator, he worked in the Cleveland County District Attorney’s office.[1]
