Sheridan Vacancy Appointees Election Amendment Measure (November 2012)

A Sheridan Vacancy Appointees Election Amendment measure was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Yamhill County, which is in Oregon, where it was approved.
This measure amended the Sheridan City Charter to added this sentence to Section 35 of the Charter:
“ | If the office is elective, the appointee shall hold office until the regular council meeting in January after the next available general election following the appointment. At the next available general election following the appointment, a person shall be elected to serve any remaining portion of the term. A person elected under this section shall take office at the regular council meeting in January after the election.”[1][2] | ” |
