Signatures filed for Oregon marijuana dispensary initiative
January 14, 2010
SALEM, Oregon: Supporters of the Oregon Regulated Medical Marijuana Supply System Act (2010) filed about 61,000 petition signatures to the Oregon Secretary of State for a measure that aims to create a system in the state where farmers can become licensed by the State of Oregon to grow and distribute marijuana crops to medical marijuana dispensaries.
Supporters will need to turn in the rest of the required qualifying signatures by July 2 to make the November 2, 2010 ballot.[1]
Medical marijuana is legal in Oregon because of 1988's Measure 67.
