Springfield School District Bond Proposition (November 2009)
The Springfield School District Bond Proposition was on the November 3 ballot in Greene County for voters in the Springfield School District.
Bond proposition
The proposition sought to issue a $50,000,000 bond, part of which would be a qualified school construction bond. The money would be used to but air conditioning in the schools, making improvements to the schools and furnishing buildings. If approved there would be an added $.51 to the resident's property taxes.[1]
Election result
A four-sevenths majority was required (57.15%) therefore, despite receiving the majority vote, the measure was 'defeated.
