Strafford School District "Proposition Kids" Bond question was approved on the April 2, 2013 election ballot in Greene and Webster Counties, which are in Missouri.
This measure authorized the Strafford School District to increase its debt by $15 million through issuing general obligation bonds in that amount in order to fund the development, construction, equipping and furnishing of a new elementary school building and existing school facilities and buildings. This measure would leave the debt service tax levy unchanged at the current rate of 7 mills ($7 per $1,000 o f assessed valuation).[1]

| “ | Shall the Board of Education of the Strafford R-6 School District of Greene County, Missouri, without an estimated increase in the current debt service property tax levy, borrow money in the amount of Fifteen Million Dollars ($15,000,000) for the purpose of providing funds for site development, construction, equipping and furnishing of a new elementary school; to complete renovation improvements to the existing elementary facility for additional middle school and high school classrooms; the acquisition and installation of safety and security equipment to all District’s facilities; the installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to the gymnasiums; to
construct and equip restroom facilities at the football field; to the extent funds are available, complete other renovations, remodeling and repair improvements to the existing facilities of the District; and issue bonds for the payment thereof? If this proposition is approved, the adjusted debt service levy of the School District is estimated to remain unchanged at $0.7000 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of real and personal property.
