T. Bennett Burkemper, Jr. was an associate judge for the 45th Circuit Court in Missouri. He resigned in 2014 to join the office of Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster.[1][2]

Education

Judge Burkemper attended St. Louis University for his B.A. and M.B.A. He later graduated from Gonzaga University in 1991 with a J.D. He earned his LL.M. in 1995 from the London School of Economics and Political Science in London, England.[3][4]

Career

Before taking his seat on the bench, Burkemper practiced with the Burkemper Law Firm for ten years and also served two years as the prosecutor for the City of Troy. He was appointed to the 45th Circuit Court in 2001.[4]

Elections

2012

Burkemper was unsuccessful in the race for the 45th Circuit Court. He received 14,570 votes in the general election on November 6th, 231 votes behind opponent Chris Kunza Mennemeyer who received 14,801 votes.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; name cannot be a simple integer.
