Tami Bern

Tami Bern is a judge of the First Judicial Circuit in South Dakota. She was appointed by Gov. Dennis Daugaard (R) on July 24, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Glen Eng.[1] Bern was sworn in to office on August 25, 2017.[2]
At the time of her appointment to the bench, Bern was a magistrate judge for the First Judicial Circuit. She was appointed to that position by Presiding Judge Art Rusch effective March 23, 2007, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Mary Dell Cody.[2][3]
Biography
Bern earned an undergraduate degree and a J.D. from the University of South Dakota. Her professional experience includes work as an attorney in private practice and as deputy state's attorney and state's attorney for Clay County.[1]
