This measure sought to replace the current school levy which is set to expire with one set at a rate of $3.37 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for general fund education, maintenance, and operational costs in the district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| The Board of Directors of Tenino School District No. 402 adopted Resolution No. 2:2011-2012 concerning a proposition to levy property taxes. This proposition would authorize the District to meet the educational needs of its students by levying the following excess taxes, in place of an expiring levy, on all taxable property within the District, for support of the District's educational programs, maintenance and operations expenses: Collection years: 2013-2016; Approximate Levy Rate/$1,000 Assessed Value: $3.37; Levy Amount: $2,800,51, $2,827,63, $2,855,90, $2,884,46. Should this proposition be approved?[3] |
