Tennessee Tax Law, Amendment 1 (1972)

The Tennessee Tax Law, Amendment 1, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Tennessee on August 3, 1972, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended regarding the state tax laws. The amendment proposed that the state provide different assessments for commercial property, utilities and individual property.[1]
