Timothy Samuelson
Timothy Samuelson was a former judge of the Dane County Circuit Court in Wisconsin. He was appointed by Gov. Scott Walker (R) on June 19, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge John Markson.[1] He did not run for re-election in 2018.
Biography
Samuelson earned an undergraduate degree from Valparaiso University and a J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law.[1]
At the time of his appointment to the bench, Samuelson was an assistant attorney general with the Wisconsin Department of Justice. His professional experience also includes work as the director of the Medicaid Fraud Control and Elder Abuse Unit and deputy director of the Special Litigation and Appeals Unit of the state Department of Justice and as an attorney with the Chicago firms Schopf & Weiss and Iwan Cray Huber Horstman & VanAusdal.[1]
