Two nominees for federal court announced by the White House

Washington D.C.: On Wednesday, April 6, President Barack Obama nominated two for positions on federal courts. The nominations were Judge Sharon L. Gleason and Judge Susan Hickey, of the Third Judicial District of the Alaska Superior Court and the Thirteenth Arkansas Judicial Circuit, respectively. Gleason was nominated to a seat on the federal court for the District of Alaska and Hickey was nominated to the Western District of Arkansas. Obama said this, of the nominations, "Throughout their careers these individuals have shown a dedication to justice. I am proud to nominate them to serve the American people from the district court bench."[1]
