A Valley Park School District Tax Levy question was defeated on the April 2, 2013 election ballot in St. Louis County, which is in Missouri.
If approved, this measure would have authorized the Valley Park School District to increase its operating property tax levy by 4.9 mills ($4.9 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) in order to fund the hiring of school safety officers and to pay general operating expenses of the district.[1]

| “ | Shall the Board of Education of the Valley Park School District be authorized to increase the operating tax levy of the District by
$0.49 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation for the purpose of hiring school safety officers and paying general operating expenses of the District? If this proposition is approved, the adjusted operating levy of the District per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation is estimated to be $4.8462 for residential real property, $5.0006 for commercial real property, $5.0323 for agricultural property and $5.1400 for personal property.
