Wally Eklund
Wally A. Eklund is a former judge for the Seventh Judicial Circuit in South Dakota. He was appointed to the court by Governor Mike Rounds in 2010 to fill the vacancy created by Merton B. Tice, Jr.[1][2] Eklund retired in December 2016.[3]
Education
Eklund received his undergraduate degree from Black Hills State University and his J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1971.[4]
Career
Eklund was an attorney in private practice at the time of his appointment to the bench.[4] He previously served as Gregory County state's attorney and as city attorney for Gregory. He has also worked as the attorney for the Gregory School District.[5]
