Waunakee School District Bond Measure (November 2010)
A Waunakee School District Bond Measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the Waunakee school district area, which is in Dane County.
This measure was defeated
This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $23.5 million in order to help build, equip and furnish a new elementary building as well as remodeling and updating other school facilities.[1] Residents rejected a similar measure in April, district officials were hoping this time it would have passed. The current school buildings are full and the need for more space was important for the students. Officials expect enrollment in the schools to continue to increase which will just add more problems if new facilities are not build to accommodate the growing student population. School officials also noted that they could get through the next school year, but after than something would have to be done to add more space.[2]
