Madison, Wisconsin: Following last month's information that Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman failed to recuse himself in cases involving a law firm that provided him services free of charge, Wisconsin lawmaker Kelda Helen Roys has circulated a resolution calling for Gableman's removal.[1][2][3] The motion is unlikely to succeed as it must be approved by a two-thirds majority in the senate and the assembly, both of which hold conservative majorities; Gableman is aligned with the conservative wing of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. However, even if Roys' attempt to unseat him fails, Gableman's troubles are almost certain to continue as one formal complaint against him has already been filed in this matter, and others are likely to follow.[4]
