David Schroeder is the judge for the Western Area of the Ashtabula County Court in Ashtabula County, Ohio.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor John Kasich in March 2013.[2] He replaced Richard L. Stevens, who retired in December 2012.[3] Schroeder was re-elected to the Ashtabula County Court in 2014, winning a new term that expired on December 31, 2020.[4][5]

Education

Schroeder received his undergraduate degree from Mercyhurst College and his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.[2]

Career

Schroeder was an assistant prosecutor for the Ashtabula County Prosecutor’s Office from 1995 until 1996 as well as an assistant prosecutor in Conneaut from 2000 to 2002. Schroeder served as the law director for the City of Conneaut from 2010 until his judicial appointment in 2013.[6]
