This measure sought to implement a levy set at a rate of $2.59 per $1,000 of assessed property value for one year in order to pay for the city street fund which helps pay for street lights and other street improvement projects in the town.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the Town of Rosalia be authorized to impose a special (excess) tax levy of $2.59 per one thousand dollars of assessed valuation, to be collected in the year 2013, in order to collect $50,000.00 for the City Street Fund, to help defray the costs of street lights, seal coating, shoulder work, capital improvements, equipment and other regular maintenance of city streets?[3]
