The Judicial Departments are four divisions of counties and courts within the state of New York. New York's 62 counties are divided into these four departments, along with 13 judicial districts, for administrative purposes. Each department is divided into problem-solving branches, including domestic violence, drug treatment, mental health and community courts.[1]
