The August 26, 2014 general election in Highlands County featured three seats up for election. The District 1 race featured incumbent Ronnie L. Jackson and challengers Charlene Edwards and Al Joe Hinson. Five newcomers were running for the District 5 seat previously held by Andy Tuck, who left the board to serve on the Florida State Board of Education. District 4 incumbent William "Bill" Brantley was running for re-election without opposition.
