Governor John Kitzhaber fills judicial vacancies in Marion County

Oregon: Governor John Kitzhaber has made two new appointments to the Marion County Circuit Court, Oregon following the retirements of Don Dickey and Pamela Abernethy. He has chosen to appoint former Marion County Deputy District Attorney Courtland Geyer and attorney Vance Day to the two openings. The two candidates were chosen from a field of 18, and represent a large cross section of law having come from different legal backgrounds. [1]
