Washington County Public Safety Levy Renewal (November 2010)

A Washington County Public Safety Levy Renewal measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in Washington County.

This measure was approved

• YES 119,705 (67.15%)a
• NO 58,566 (32.85%)

This measure sought to renew the current public safety levy of $.42 per $1,000 of assessed property for a further five years. The current levy will expire June of 2011, so since this was approved this levy will continue from that date. The county also hosted service fairs to educate residents about the ballot issues on the November ballot and hoped that with education about the issue more residents would pass it.
