Wet Up Petitions - JP Pct 4, Smith County, Texas (2009)
There were two Wet Up Petitions on the May 9 ballot in Smith County for voters in district 4.
Since one was approved, it will allow the sale of beer and wine in stores, and also allow the sale of mixed drinks in restaurants.[1]
Proposition 1 was defeated, however Proposition 2 was accepted.[2]
Proposition 1: expands packaged alcohol sales in the county
Proposition 2: allows mixed-drink sales in restaurants passed
National Ballot Access was the signature vendor for the petition drive.
